New Student Enrollment

Enrollment

Enrolling your student in the Boise School District is simple and can be done online or in person.

  • To enroll your student in their neighborhood school or the school for which open enrollment has been approved, you can complete the enrollment process online using our Online Registration System.

  • If you do not have a student currently enrolled in the district, follow these steps:

    1. Use our Online Registration System to submit your child's information.
    2. Enroll your child in their neighborhood school or, if approved for Open Enrollment, the chosen school.
    3. Provide the required documents (listed under “Verification Requirements” below).

  • If you already have a student enrolled in the Boise School District, you can register additional children by:

    1. Logging into Infinite Campus Parent Portal.
    2. Clicking "More" in the menu.
    3. Selecting "Annual Update" to update family information and enroll your new student.

  • If you prefer to enroll your child in person, visit Fairmont Junior High School during school hours (7:30AM – 3:00PM) Monday–Friday, with a parent or guardian present. Enrollment forms are available online for your convenience.

  • Use the School Boundary Locator to find your child’s assigned school.

Some Boise addresses are outside district boundaries. If unsure, call our Transportation & Boundaries Department at 208-854-4167.

  • When registering your child for the first time in a Boise public school, you must provide:

    • Proof of age (birth certificate or other official document)
    • Proof of identity (parent/guardian identification)
    • Proof of residency (utility bill, lease, or mortgage statement)
    • Immunization records (unless exempt)
    • Students who previously attended school: Bring past school records, if available.
    • Students receiving special education services: Bring a copy of their Individualized Education Program (IEP).
