FAIRMONT ELECTRONIC DEVICE POLICY
Fairmont Jr. High expects all students to always abide by the following PED (Personal Electronic Devices) use rules:
1) Cell phones (and all other personal electronic devices—including earbuds/headphones) are prohibited for personal use during the school day (7:50 AM - 2:30 PM). If cell phones are brought to school, devices must be turned off and stored in the student’s locker. Students who do not follow this rule will turn over their electronic device to the school personnel upon request. Refusal to turn over the device will result in a write-up for insubordination and the student will receive discipline up to and including suspension from school.
2) Fairmont Jr. High School is not responsible for following up on or investigating reports of loss or theft of personal cell phones or other electronic devices. Students who bring cell phones and other personal electronic devices to school with them and use them where allowed do so at their own risk.
5) If your parents need to reach you with an important message, they should call the main office at 208-854-4790 and we will contact you.
Consequences for inappropriate use of Personal Electronic Device (PED). * including earbuds/headphones.
Violation of the cell phone policy is a minor violation and we follow our school wide behavior procedures.
